To get to Mindo along the main roads, take the Flor del Valle bus, which has a terminal at Manuel Larrea between Santiago and Asunción (about two blocks west of the park El Ejido, close to the Mariscal quarter). Note the bus does not leave from the main Terminal Terrestre. The buses leave from Mindo in the early morning and late afternoon for the return trip. If you rent or have your own car, you need to take the road to the Mitad del Mindo (easiest if you take the Via Expreso Occidental on the flanks of the Pichincha Volcano). From the complex traffic circle/roundabout, take the road signed Nanegalito which will take you to the Mindo area. For the actual town of Mindo, watch for the turn-off to the left at Km. 80.
